Information we collect
Food Cost Tools does not currently require accounts, logins, payments, or personal profiles. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send.
The calculator tools run in the browser and are intended for quick planning. They do not require you to create an account or submit recipe, pricing, or guest-count data to a Food Cost Tools backend.
Technical information
Like most websites, hosting providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, timestamps, and error logs to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose performance issues.
Analytics and future advertising
Food Cost Tools does not currently run live ads. The site may add privacy-conscious analytics or advertising tools, including Google advertising products, in the future. If that happens, this policy will be updated to explain what is collected, how cookies or identifiers are used, and how visitors can manage choices.
Future Google advertising cookies
If Food Cost Tools adds Google-served advertising in the future, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads, measure ad performance, limit repetitive ads, and help prevent fraud. We will update this policy before live advertising is added.
Third-party vendors
Future advertising or analytics services may involve third-party vendors that process limited technical information such as cookies, device identifiers, browser information, pages visited, approximate location, or ad interaction data. Those vendors are responsible for their own privacy practices and disclosures.
Personalized and non-personalized ads
If ads are added later, they may be personalized based on information about a visitor's interests or prior activity, or non-personalized based on context such as the page content and general location. Visitors can learn about and manage personalized ads through Google Ad Settings.
Cookies and analytics may be added later
Food Cost Tools may add analytics, cookie consent tools, or other measurement features as the site grows. If those features are added, this policy will be updated to explain what is used and what choices visitors have.
Ads.txt
Food Cost Tools does not currently have an advertising publisher ID. If a publisher ID is issued in the future, an ads.txt file will be added or updated so authorized advertising sellers can be identified.
Email retention
Messages sent to the contact email may be retained so we can respond, track correction requests, improve content, and maintain a record of editorial feedback. You can ask us to delete a prior message unless we need to keep it for security, legal, or operational reasons.
